Simple.

This is day 33 of my 365 day challenge, and I'm celebrating
Zack's acceptance into the MLS program at Wake Forest!!!
He'll be doing a +1 since he already has his Bachelors in Biology.
We are extremely happy that we can finally start planning our life together. :)

This photo is for him, and with his suggestion I'm doing a minimalist study.

Now have a listen:

New year's resolution.

This year my resolution is to fall in love with photography again, so I'm doing the 365(6) day photo challenge, to take at least one photo every day for the year.
I've been using my new lenses like mad. I'm already in love.

Goodbye, 2011.

I'll never forget all of the things you've given me.

I can't deny it any longer.

It's officially winter. After walking down the block last night to feast upon some delicious Indian food with our coats buttoned to the top, there is no denying it.
And for once, I don't mind it so much. We are drinking so much tea and eating soup every day it seems! In the Christmas spirit, we actually have a real tree! I haven't had one since I was a little kid.
I feel good about winter this year. :)

Right now my life includes a lot of..

..working some doubles, making and selling jewelry, baking pumpkin muffins, making espresso drinks all day, cooking dinners, being tired and fitting in as much sleep as possible at whatever point in the day/night, shooting weddings, spending time with boyfriend, caring for a bunny, caring for all forty plants,
and still somehow finding time to..
take some pictures.

Dear Summer, please don't go.

Lovely and delicious farmer's market plums.

<3.

Home.

Our basil plant, growing like crazy.

Zack and I are both working so much, so often that I don't find as much time for photos.
We're praying that he gets accepted into the Laboratory Scientist program at Wake Forest in Winston Salem. It will only be a year long program for him since he already has a degree in Biology. It's going to be so awesome to see him doing something that makes him happy and using the degree he worked so hard for.

I am dreading the end of summer.. it's so close now. We've gotten all that we could from this wonderous season. THREE beach trips! And a lot of nights and days in the pool.
We had a lot of time off of work in May and June so we were able to enjoy things together and I'm thankful for that. :)

I am happy and excited for the future. Still booking weddings, have one in Charleston next month and booked another today.

Back to work after an early dinner: fried squash, potatoes and peppers with brown beans.
I am so full. And I've been working since 8am! I can't wait to sleep tonight!
